Wow What A Week It Has Been......

Okay my week....

Monday - I get up at 6 a.m. to get the kids up for school. They get dressed and wait for the bus. They went to school feeling fine. They come home from school feeling icky.

Tuesday - The same thing up at 6 kids get ready for school and are feeling fine before they get on the bus. Zach calls me from school mom I dont feel to good my stomach hurts and my head hurts, but I dont have a fever and I dont want to come home. Yes my son loves school so much that he would rather be sick at school than to come home. Me never I was always trying to find excuses to stay out of school. =P Okay son but if you get to feeling any worse call me and I will come get you. Okay mom. No call. The kids get home and Zach is not feeling to good. Abbie calls her papa John to come get her for a little bit. She goes over there she was feeling fine but then my cell rings about 2 hours after she has been at Papa's house. John tells me that she wants me to come and get her that she is not feeling well. OH REALLY, OH NO!! So I go and get her. Get her home and give her some medicine. Jason was gone to a friends house so I called that friend and told him to stop and get extra 7up or Sprite which ever he was going to get cause we dont just have 1 sick kid we have 2 sick kids. He was like I wonder if it was something they eat. DING the Light went off in my head. Okay never thought of that cause both belly's were hurting. So I asked Zach what did you eat at school? Breakfast I eat a biscuit and sausage and for lunch I didnt eat anything but crackers and drank some water, cause I was not feeling good then. Okay!! Abbie what did you eat at school? I had a biscuit and sausage and for lunch I eat chicken and rice. Okay!! So you both had biscuit and sausage? Yes!! Okay I will give you some Pepto... ewwweee from both kids but they took it. About 30 minutes later they were up and bouncing off the walls. Okay they eat something bad at school right?

Wednesday - The same routine up at 6 get kids ready to catch the bus. They both were feeling fine they went to school. They come home and they both were icky feeling so I check their temps. nothing they were both normal. ???????? Big ????????? What is wrong with these kids ? I was confused but later into the night the fevers started arriving. Zach was at 101.3 and Abbie was at 101.8. Medicine was administered the fevers started to come down slowly. To late to call the dr. gave them more medicine so they would be able to sleep through the night.

Thursday - Again up at 6 a.m. woke Abbie up checked her tempature it was 98.1 ok normal. Yes!! Go and wake Zach up and ask him if he feels alright yeah mom I feel fine his feet hit the floor and he was oh my I dont feel good. OH NO felt him his head and he felt like he was on fire, checked his temp. 102.2 wow your not going to school. He crawls back in bed I get him some medicine to bring that fever down. Tell Abbie she isn't going to school either. Sit and play the waiting game finally 8 a.m. rolls around called the dr office and they had not turned there phones on yet. WHAT!!! Okay so I call back 5 minutes later and they transfer me to the dr office. The receptionist answers and says I'm not sure Hold for a minute and I will see what Robin the nurse says? OKAY..... Yes we can get them in about 10:30 a.m. you will be squeezed in so it may take a while ... okay that is fine TY! So at 9:45 a.m. we are off to the dr office get there and wait about 20 minutes passed 10:30 not bad to me. They call us back the dr examines them Zach sounds a little congested so I am going to put him on an anibiotic for bronchitis he has a touch of bronchitis. It seems that he common cold with bronchitis. Okay! Abbie seems like she just has a common cold. Okay! I am going to order a Flu Swab to rule the Flu out. Okay! So down to the ground floor to the Lab we go. They get called back and you of thought Abbie was being killed all they wanted to do was take a q-tip looking device and swab her nose. So we finally got her calmed down to do that. Zach had the same thing done but nothing crazy for him. All done ... you all want stickers... of course.... they took about 8 stickers a piece.

On the way home mom Im hungry okay wait until we get back home. They got something to eat and we went home. The phone rings as soon as I sit down. Its the dr Hello, Hi this Dr. Goodale okay and the words they both have the flu. WHAT!! Yes they both have it.. okay I am also calling in medicine for you and Jason. Okay!! Dreadful Wal-Mart Pharmacy I went got there and they didnt have all of Zachs filled okay thats fine I will wait. It got filled and the pharmacy dr said its going to be $30 a piece is that okay? Well it will have to be okay we need it! $142.00's of medicine felt like I was robbing a drug store when I left that place with a wal- mart bag full of medicine. NO SCHOOL for the kids until MONDAY!!! WHY ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Friday - To sum it all up Zach does not like taking the medicine that was given to him! Who does? Kids are doing a little better ! I am still pondering on how they had the FLU and no vomitting just fever and chills. It just doesnt make since to me!! Jason gets a call from his Local to work in Rabbit Hash for 2 days Saturday and Sunday on nights. Yes he takes it. Kids are a little upset but they get over it.

Saturday - Wake up and Jason gets ready to leave for Rabbit Hash. Hes all packed and stuff sitting out on the porch waiting for his buddy to arrive. He leaves about 12:30 p.m. the kids have been good. He leaves and thats when the little devils come out to play!! I am saying that lightly! NOT!!!!! Not 2 hours after he leaves they get grounded from there DS's. Why you ask???? Well they started to fight over a blanket and then it turned into a hollering contest which mommy won and then it turned into a fight, even though I had done gave them warnings. This was after dad had told them if they was good for mommy there would be money involved well they blew that out of the water. They are sitting in Zachs room playing some board game. Its calm for know!!!!

Mister Trying To Be Sneaky....

My son is not enjoying 4th grade this year like he has K-3rd grades. He says there is to much writing and this is coming from a boy that writes constantly. I said well son the higher the grades you go the harder its going to get.

Well last night somehow it was my fault that I didnt get his stuff out of his backpack. Yeah you heard me right it was my fault. This is our conversation last night after 9 p.m. when he was supposed to be going to bed.... also he does his homework on the bus which has been stopped cause his math homework was incorrect and look like chicken scratch....

Zach: Oh mom you forgot to sign my planner!
Me: No Zach I didnt forget to do anything you are supposed to give that to me when you get off the school bus.
Zach: No mom you are supposed to get it.
Me: NO SON it is your responsiblity to hand that stuff to me instead of having that dang Nintendo DS on your mind.
Zach: But I dont mom!
Me: Oh but son yes you do cause as soon as you came in you through your backpack into the corner and wait until after your bedtime to have me sign your planner and then blame it on me.
Zach: Okay yeah thats all I had on mind!
Me: I know it is!
Dad: Son this math homework looks awful and some of them are wrong.
Zach: No they are not dad!
Dad: Yes they are son!
Zach: Throwing a hissy fit!
Me: Well the homework on the school bus stops and you do your homework at home and no Nintendo DS until you have it done and done correct.
Zach: STOMPING OFF ACTING LIKE A DRAMA QUEEN!!!!
Dad: You can go to bed at 8 tomorrow night!
Zach: WHAT?
Dad: You heard me!!!!!!!

So that sums up that he will not be doing his homework on the bus and blaming me for not signing his planner. Also he had a paper that was a study guide and I was supposed to sign it also. He also studied that on the bus and Jason asked him questions off of it and he got them right. HOW?? I dont know cause he sure didnt get that from my brain! Heck when I was in school I would read things and it would go in one ear and out the other. I could read the story over and over and it would never stick. I am glad that he is not like I was in school!! THANK GOODNESS!!!!

Not Sure What To Put Title As............ cont...

As before I told you that my hands were hurting but my mother in laws story would continue.....

I met my mother in law back in 1999 when I was dating my husband. She was the best mother in law anyone could ask for. When we first met and as we was leaving her house she wanted a hug from me ( I am the type of person that doesn't like to hug at all ) Well she wasn't going to have it I was giving her a hug and when I did she whispered in my ear I LIKE YOU! I was like WOW never before have I heard that from a b/F's mom. I asked Jason if that was a good thing and he was oh yeah she likes you already. I didn't become her daughter in law until February 09, 2002 also the same day my mom and dad had gotten remarried. About a year after we got married my mother in law had been battling Chrones Disease, but it was not that bad at the time. She started having problems and so she had another surgery done on her large intestine she had some of it removed. As the years went on her health got worse. She was a smoker and I mean a chain smoker. About 3 years before she found out she had cancer her Dr. told her that she was going to have to stop smoking ( She was like yeah right ) her Dr. plainly told her to stop smoking or it would kill her. To our surprise she stopped smoking and she used nothing to get off of them either. When the doc said it would kill you she put them down. Well about a year after that she got a place on her butt-hole. She was the type of lady that thought she knew it all so she self diagnosed herself as if it was her Chrone's Disease acting up. In 2006 she had a major surgery done to remove all of her intestine to have a colostomy done and also had a hysterectomy also. We almost lost her 3 times during that 2 month stay she had at the hospital. She was supposed to be free and clear. The sore was supposed to go away. She got to come home on her birthday March 17th. So 1 year went by and she was a very stubborn woman we tried for years to get her to go the Dr. over that sore on her butt, but no she just thought it was her chrones disease. Well she started having trouble walking and it just got tougher for her. Then she finally broke down cause the sore on her behind was getting to much to bare anymore. They performed a biopsy on that sore. The results came back and it was cancer. Poorly differentiated Carcinoma Cancer a very rare cancer. She was diagnosed the day before Thanksgiving in 2007. It was very heartbreaking so our Thanksgiving we spent around her bed just gabbing it up. She was admitted to the hospital in Madisonville for her radiation treatments. She spent her Christmas in the hospital so we bought her a little optical tree and decorated with ornaments and then we took all our gifts up there to celebrate Christmas with her. She came home for a few days then she had her terrible episode she was real sick and her companion John of 15 years called my hubby and his brother for them to get over there right away and when they got over there my hubby had to perform CPR on her she stopped breathing the ambulance got there and took her to the hospital. They done scans that showed that her cancer was in her lungs and her brain. It had progressed. She was rushed to Madisonville and she had lost memory. The cancer had done spread to her brain and her body was shutting down. They kept her pain free cause that's all they could do. She eventually went into a coma she could not talk she could hear us but she could not talk. I was at home with Abbie. Zach had done gone to school. My cell rang and it was my hubby to tell me she had just passed. She passed on January 25th, 2008! She will be dearly missed!!!!

My Sunday !!

My Sunday started out not so good I had a headache and kept hitting the snooze button on my alarm. Abbie comes and wakes me up and says mom what about church, " I say mommy doesnt feel good right now". 10 a.m. came and something just literally pulled me up from bed and my head was saying go to church. I got up and showered and got ready and went to church and I am so glad that I went. It was a very moving and touching sermon. The preacher talked about Jesus how he is our stepping stone. It was a very awesome sermon this morning. In the past I have had so much trouble going to church after losing 3 of the most important people in my life. I just couldn't understand WHY god took them, but I so understand now he took them so they would not suffer anymore and were they would be worry free up in Heaven with him and his son JESUS!!! JESUS IS MY ROCK !!!!

Zip Lock Bags - Don't know if it's true!

I received this email from my mothers cousin Marian. I just thought I would share this on my blog! I think I am going to try it!

Didn't check with snopes on this, but sounds interesting, now if we could find something for the mosquitoes!!

We went with some out of town friends to Sweety Pies on Sunday for breakfast, and we sat in the enclosed patio section beside the house. We happened to notice a couple of zip lock baggies pinned to a post and a wall. The bags were half filled with water, each contained 4 pennies, and they were zipped shut.. Naturally we were curious! Ms Sweety told us that these baggies kept the flies away! So naturally we were even more curious! We actually watched some flies come in the open window, stand around on the window sill, and then fly out again. And there were no flies in the eating area! This morning I checked this out on Goggle. Below are comments on this fly control idea. I'm now a believer!

Zip-lock water bags
Sue says:

Many people swear that a zip-lock bag filled half-way with water and attached over entry-ways will repel flies. No one yet knows how or why it works, but there is speculation that it has something to do with the way the moving water refracts light. If you have tried this please use the comments form at the bottom of the page to share your results with the rest of us.

I did tried the ziplock bag and pennies this weekend. I have a horse trailer with full LQ. The flys were very bad this weekend while I was camping. I put the baggie with pennies above the door of the LQ. NOT ONE FLY came in the trailer. The horse trailer part had many... Not sure why it works but it does!!!!!!!

Fill a ziplock bag with water and 5 or 6 pennies and hang it in the problem area. In my case it was a particular window in my home. It had a slight but significant passage way for insects.Every since I have done that, it has kept flies and wasps away. Some say, that wasps and flies mistake the bag for some sort of other insect nest and are threatened by this.

I swear by the plastic bag of water trick I have them on side porch ( our house entry) and all around the basement door. We saw these in Northeast Mo at an Amish grocery store & have used them since. They say it works because a fly sees a reflection & won't come around.

Regarding the science behind zip log bags of water? My research found that each of the millions of molecules of water presents its own prism effect and given that flies have a lot of eyes, to them it's like a zillion disco balls reflecting light, colors and movement in a dizzying manner. When you figure that flies are basically prey for many other bugs, animals, birds, etc., they simply won't take the risk of being around that much perceived action. I moved to a rural area and thought these "hillbillies" were just yanking my city boy chain but I tried it, worked immediately! We went from hundreds of flies to seeing the occasional one, but he don't hang around long.

Not Sure What To Put Title As............

I watched the Film of Farrah Faucett called Farrah's Story.... The document done on her battle of cancer. My mother in law had the same type cancer as she did. I DVR'd the film just have not had the ump to watch it. I watched it last night by myself cause hubby did not want to watch it to hard for him. I cried cause my mother in law never made it that far with her cancer. Just like Farrah said Why Can't They Find A Cure For All Cancers!!!!!

I have had to deal with 5 deaths in the last 7 years. I understood when my grandma S. and Grandpa S. passed away. I have been angry with the good lord above ever since he took my mom in 2005. Then it didn't help when my other grandmother J. passed away, but I understood she wanted to go. Her saying every night before she go to bed was " Goodnight everyone , Lord Willing I get up in the morning" she said that every night before she would go to bed. Then my mother in law passed away in 2008 and that was heartbreaking also. It has taken me awhile to start going back to church. I started going to Green River Chapel a friend asked me if I would be her guest at church and I said sure. I liked it so I started going but when Thanksgiving and Christmas rolled around I kind of started not going. My kids would ask mom when are we going back to church and I would say I'm not sure. The holidays are the hardest for me.

When my mom had a terrible fall at where she used to work Ventura Plastics she had a bruised up leg. Shes 5 ft tall and she fell off a platform that was 5 ft off the ground. The doctor put her to be off work and to have her leg elevated. Well the 6 weeks went by the bruise was still there and she was having troubles walking. She started using a cane and then it progressed and she started using a walker. Her legs were deteriorating fast. She got the news in January of 2005 that she will never walk again. So she went from a walker to a wheel chair. She had no use of her legs anymore. The muscles were deteriorating in her legs. From January until about May she was in and out of the hospital learning physical therapy. She was doing good. Then about a week before Halloween she fell off her potty chair and bruised her right buttoks area. Well a few days went by and she was having troubles and was in agonizing pain. My mom woke my dad up about 3 am and told him you have to take me somewhere I cant take this pain... and for my mom to do that she had to be in serious pain. Dad loaded her up in the truck and took her to the ER in Russellville. They done x-rays and found that she had very bad blood clot that was pushing up against her bladder. So they rushed her to Bowling Green Medical Center for emergency surgery. She made it through the surgery just fine. She had a ventilator on her until she could start breathing on her own. They took it off a few days after surgery. Well the night after that I had a dream that my dad would call me about 6 am to tell me she had taken a turn for the worst. That dream came true cause November 2nd 2005 at 6 a.m. my dad calls my cell and tells me that I need to get to the hospital as soon as I can that she has taken a turn for the worst. I could not say anything I gave the phone to my hubby I was crying so hard I could not breathe good. We took the kids to my mother in laws and told them they will not be going to school that day. I got to the hospital and dad told me that she was having trouble breathing so they put the ventilator back on her, but when they went to put the tube in her throat she vomitted which ended up her aspirating it. The fluid filled her lungs and the Dr.s said that she would be a vegetable all her life. Well my dad had called my brother and we had to wait for him to get there. Not knowing that it was going to be the hardest decision I would have to make in my life. My brother arrived and dad pulled me and brother out in the hall and we discussed letting her go. We knew she did not want to live like that. She passed away at 7 p.m. November 2nd 2005 the dr.s said she went quick and peacefully. It was the hardest decision that I think I have made in my life. I just couldn't believe that God would take such a wonderful person at such and early age my mother was only 58 years old.

Then it wasn't to long after my grandmother J. got ill and she passed. My grandmother was ready to go and be with her husband Russell up in heaven. She was ready the day he died back in 1968. I understood why she passed it was her time. She passed the same month that my mom passed. November 27th 2005.

I had gotten over these deaths and finally could realize why he took them.

My mother in laws passing was the last straw for me.

My hands are tired more about my mother in law next posting!!

My Son Got Bapitized!!

My son Zach was bapitized August 9th, 2009 at Green River Chapel. I am so proud of my son to ask God into his life.

Kids are back in school!

The kids have been in school a total of 4 days now! Abbie has been sick 2 of those days but she is better today thank goodness. I think everybody around here is cautious cause of the outbreak of the Swine Flu at the Job Corps. Campus. They confirmed over 46 cases that came into the hospital but were not admitted. I was afraid that Abbie had it cause she came home complaining she had been cold all day and her throat hurt and her she felt sick. I was oh no the first thing that came to my mind was that stinkin ole Swine Flu. I told myself if she wakes up and starts vomitting I was taking her to the ER. She woke up and was ready to eat and bounce around. Praise The Lord!!! Hopefully she won't come home feeling bad today. She has Girl Scouts meeting after school today. Yesterday they had a special day for the Girl Scouts they had like a spa day for them Abbie had her nails painted with little daisies on them being that her Girl Scout Troop are called the Daisy Troop!

2 days until kids go back to school....

Thats the reason for the school background. I just can't believe that summer is almost over. I am glad that it is almost over. My kids have erkkked (not sure I spelled it right)my one last nerve. I am so ready for school to start only 2 days... Yippeee!!

Don't get me wrong I love my kids but goodness I have to have a break.

Abbie will be in the 1st grade! She is excited about going back to school. At the open house she found out that she is sitting by her best friend Ethan. He's also her next door neighbor. I'm not sure that is a good thing or bad thing! Ha Ha Ha!! Abbie also knows almost everyone in her class, so that is a good thing. She is my little social butterfly.

Zach is going into the 4th grade gosh my first born! He loves school and he is a good student. I just hope this teacher this year is like all the other teachers he has had. I am so afraid that it is going to be a rough year for him. I sure hope not!

Alex my stepson is going into the 8th grade. WOW the teenagers these days are something else. If I had as much as a foul mouth as the teenagers today I wouldn't have a bare bottom to sit on. :P I mean come on some of the words that I heard back in April on Zach's Birthday at Spinners from those little kids... F this F that or that stupid MFB. Im talking this was coming out of about 10, 11, 12 year olds. I just hope Alex is not snatched out of 4 or 5 different schools his 8th grade year. His mom is on her 4th marriage and not sure how long it will last or how long she will let it last. Shes a social butterfly in a totally different way. :P

Yay 2 days until school starts!!!

What a month it has been....

Well July was a rough month. First off my sister - in - law decided she was moving to California and leaving her kids behind. She left behind a son who is 12 soon to be 13 and a daughter who is 17 and has a daughter of her own who is 5 months old. I just don't understand how she could just up and leave them kids and her grandkid behind. Well her son was suppose to go too Indianapolis Airport with her to spend one last night with his mom, but he didn't get to go. WHY you ask???? Well she got there and I texted her on her sidekick (she's deaf and thats the only communication I have with her) I asked her was her son with her and she said no. I said I thought he was supposed to go with you so he could spend one last night with you and she said no I didn't have room for him. WHAT??? She had 2 cars following her and she didn't have enough room. That's a sad excuse!! So I texted her ex-husband the one that has custody of the kids now and asked him how his son was and he told me that he cried himself to sleep. He was so looking forward to going. The next day I talked to my nephew and told him he was welcome to come down here and stay before school starts. He said sure no problem so about July 15th or so my hubby and I went to Evansville and picked him up. Then we went to the mall over their and went school clothes shopping. I found a lot of good deals on clothes. We had all 3 kids with us including hubby's nephew with us. It went smoother than I thought. While my nephew was here he was a very big help. I miss him so much and I know its hard on him to be there without his mother. Well he went home July the 28th his dad and sister came and got him. I am so glad that I got to see my Great Niece also. She is such a doll. I will be glad when my sister in law comes to her senses and realizes what a big mistake she made moving out there for a man. While her ex and her daughter were here they were so aggravated with my sister in law cause she was texting them constantly wanting to know where they were at. I thought what does she care and what is she going to do? Finally her daughter told her if she was going to aggrivate us so much you should have just stayed in Indiana. I laughed my butt off cause thats all she is doing is getting on everybody nerves. I love my sister in law but geee whizzzz give me a break with all the snapping at me for stuff that I have no idea about. Telling me that she raised her kids it was time for them to be on there own... I was like oh my goodness is she kidding me or has she lost her mind? Her son is only 12 years old he can't live his life on his own. I know her daughter is a mother but goodness this is the time when she needs her mother the most. My sister in laws reply was I taught her alot before I left and she will be okay. I said yeah I know she will be okay cause she has to now. My niece is a wonderful mother to her baby. I am very proud of her I was worried about her at first but since she has been down here a few times I can tell she is doing a wonderful job. Yes all mothers get frustrated with their kids. You can't say you don't either. I get frustrated with mine all the time of course my kids are 9, 6 (going on 16), and 13 (acts like he is 18) they work my nerves everyday, but I love them all with my heart. I just hope my nephew is doing okay. All in all I hope August is better than July.
